The 3.7 version of WebCT is now available and as it turns out there are several significant changes and many minor ones that we are still exploring. For a complete list of features that are available in 3.7 please refer to:

We will be examining all of the changes and providing that information to everyone who has purchased The Ultimate WebCT Handbook. Here are a few of the changes that we are testing and evaluating:
- Accessibility has improved in the interface and in many of the Communications tools.
- The Assignments Tool has several new features like download, multiple submissions and easy upload for students.
- The Discussions Tool has a new way of expanding the message thread, which should please everyone.
- Under Change Settings there is an area called “Default numeric data format for this course.” This allows you to change how numerical information will be displayed in areas such as MyGrades.
- In Discussions and Mail, when replying, you can change the subject line. The item still remains it the thread, but you can title the response subject line to make the message standout.
- There is now a Math ML-based Equation Editor that is available in Discussions, Mail, Quiz, Content Module and Take Notes. We are examining this in detail and have so far amassed ten pages of information on this new feature. This is the feature everyone is talking about.
The above and much more will all be available as soon as the authors and their team of assistants finish investigating 3.7.
